                                                Constitution

 


                                                 Preamble

 

The purpose of this organization is:

 

1.       To meet others who share an interest in horses.

2.       To promote the interest of horses as a family activity.

3.                 To provide activities for families and individuals to share.

4.                 To provide and practice trail stewardship through education and related activities.

5.                 To address public land access issues which affect horse related activities.

 

                                            Article I - Name

 

The name of the organization shall be the Pendleton Area Saddle Club.

 

                                     Article II - Membership

 

Section 1:    There is no age requirement for membership.

 

Section 2:    Membership is open to any interested party willing to pay dues.

 

                                        Article III - Officers

 

The officers shall be the President, a Vice President, a Secretary, and a Treasurer.  Special interest group committee chairs and/or directors may be appointed at the discretion of the President.  The term of office shall be one year.

 

                              Article IV - Executive Committee

 

The Executive Committee (Board) shall consist of the officers identified in Article III above.

 

                                        Article V - Meetings

 

Section 1:    There will be at least two full membership meetings per year.

 

Section 2:    The Executive Committee shall meet monthly or as called.

 

Section 3:    The time and the place of the meetings shall be set by the President and/or the Executive Committee.

 

                                                 Article VI

 

This constitution may be amended at a full membership meeting.  Proposed amendments will be voted on and passed with a three-fourths vote of those voting.  Amendments so passed will become effective immediately.
